iPhone X Pre-Orders in India and 55 other countries begins on this Friday, October 27. This is the first phase of the Pre-Order and if you look into the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus Pre-Orders, India was not even on the list.
As per report, Apple is aiming to ship only 20 million units of iPhone X in 2017. The reason behind reducing the number of units is due to the technical issues with Face ID. The current production rate of iPhone X is 10 million units per month. But not all of them will hit the market as there are serious complaints against Face ID or face authentication feature.
The OLED panel on the display of the iPhone X is also a reason for the slow production rate. The production units are facing a lot of issues during the production, especially bonding its edges with the metal frame. The demand for the iPhone X is expected to be substantial as Apple has failed to market the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus properly.
